MaltaCrafts Mobile App Privacy Policy

The Government of Malta built the MaltaCrafts Mobile App as a Free app. This service is provided by the Government of Malta at no cost and is intended for use as is.

We are committed to protecting our visitors’ and/or user’s privacy and we will not collect any personal information about users unless it is voluntarily provided. Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (Cap 586), we have a legal duty to respect and protect any personal information we collect from users and we will abide by such duty. We take all safeguards necessary to prevent unauthorised access and we do not pass any details collected from visitors and users to any third parties unless consent is given to us to do so or as authorised by law.

How do we process personal data?

IP address, location and Device ID

The web server keeps limited logs about IP addresses, the location of the mobile device on the Internet, and the Device ID for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. We do not use these pieces of information to track user behaviour on the mobile app.

Contact Us Form

When using the website’s online Contact Us page, data subjects may be required to provide their contact details for contact purposes. All information and any personal data that data subjects may decide to provide us in the Contact Us form shall be processed only for the strict purpose of responding to the enquiry.

Cookies are small pieces of data that the site transfers to the data subject’s computer hard drive when the user visits the website. This website makes limited use of cookies and consequently, for any further information, users are being guided to visit our website’s Privacy Policy.

Data subjects may exercise their right to access the data held about them. In case of queries in relation to data, if any, held by us, users are requested to kindly contact us by submitting a request to the appropriate data controller through the Contact Us within the website.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your mobile equipment, mobile programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the app or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on anything linked to it.
