Door-to-door seller means a person who offers the provision or supply of
any type of goods or services in connection with commercial activities listed
in Part 1 of the First Schedule of the regulations by means of a doorstep contract,
whether the offer is unsolicited by the person to whom it is made, or is
solicited by the latter person in response to any advertisement, but does not
include vendors of food stuffs and drinks who sell their goods from
door-to-door.
The applicant must provide the following information, as required in the
Application Form (Form H):
- Title,
Name and Surname;
- Nationality;
- ID
Card No/Passport No;
- Address
of residence in Malta;
- Telephone,
Mobile and email address; and
- JobPlus
Work Permit No.
Where the application is made on behalf of Company or a Commercial
Partnership, the following details need to be provided:
- Name of
Company
- Address
- Company Reg.
No.
- Vat No.
The application for Door-to-Door
Sales shall be accompanied by:
- Copy of Work
Permit issued by JobPlus
- Copy of Passport or Residence Permit Certificate (if applicant is
not of Maltese nationality)
- A Board Resolution signed by the Company Secretary authorizing the
applicant to represent the company.
APPEAL:
Where an applicant feels
aggrieved by the decision of the Trade Licensing Unit or from any Local Council
in respect of a refusal of issuing of a licence, he may file an appeal in
writing to the Licensing Appeals
Board within ten (10) working days from the date
when the applicant or any other person has been notified by the Trade Licensing
Unit, in accordance with the provisions of Part VI of
Subsidiary Legislation 441.07 - Trading Licences Regulations. The appeal can be
sent to tradelicenceapplications@gov.mt or to Commerce Department, Lascaris Bastions, Daħlet Ġnien is-Sultan, Valletta, VLT1933, Malta.
LICENCE FEE:
€50 per annum
